Weekly global religious, spiritual and nonreligious observance information

Submitted by David Yetter

The University Committee on Religious, Spirituality and Nonreligious Diversity presents the global observance information for Sept. 30 to Oct. 6.

Rosh Hashanah Wed., Oct. 2 – Fri., Oct. 4, 2024  Tradition: Judaism

The Jewish New Year and the anniversary of the creation of the world, Rosh Hashanah is the first of the Ten Days of Awe, also known as the Ten Days of Repentance, that conclude on Yom Kippur. It marks the beginning of the holiest time of the year for Jews.

The University Committee on Religious, Spiritual and Nonreligious Diversity offers these weekly announcements in partial fulfillment of its mandate to ensure that K-Staters of all religious, spiritual and nonreligious backgrounds are seen as valued members of our community. For more information about the committee and its work, contact Professor David Yetter at dyetter@k-state.edu.
