Register for the upcoming data carpentry genomics workshop
Join K-State Libraries and the Agricultural Research Service from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 5-9 for a Data Carpentry for Genomics workshop. This free, in-person workshop will be held in Room 359 of Hale Library.
Registrants may attend all days or selected days. For days one through four, each individual day can be taken separately; for day five, each lesson can be taken separately.
Carpentries workshops help develop fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and its lessons are domain-specific, building on learners' existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills to their own research. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.
K-State affiliates who do not already have a BeoCat account should request one by July 30. Additional information about requesting a BeoCat account for the workshop will be provided to registrants.
Spots for this five-day workshop are limited — those interested can sign up online and learn more about the content on the workshop webpage.
