OSHA-10 General Industry course offering

The Kansas Department of Labor Public Safety Team will be at Kansas State University's Manhattan campus providing a free OSHA-10 course for K-State and surrounding communities. The official OSHA certification card is $10 per card and is recommended for update every five years. Faculty, staff, students and community collaborators are invited to attend.
There will be two course offerings in the Dykstra Annex: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 30; 8 a.m. to noon July 31; 1-5 p.m. July 31; 1-5 p.m. Aug. 1. A one-hour break for lunch is provided from noon to 1 p.m.

This course will provide an opportunity to meet with the Public Safety Team from the Kansas Department of Labor and collaborate with professionals across organizations and departments.
Topics may include: Introduction to OSHA, walking and working surfaces, fall protection, exit routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention plans, fire protection, electrical, personal protective equipment, hazard communication, safety and health programs, hazardous materials and more.
