Internal search for interim vice president for research

The Office of the President is initiating an expedited internal search for the interim vice president for research. This search is exclusive to current employees of Kansas State University.
The interim vice president for research will serve as the university's chief research officer, providing leadership and expertise to foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment that generates high-quality research and scholarly work across the university's four campuses, nine colleges and various research centers.
The full position announcement, including required qualifications and application details, is available on the K-State Careers website or the president's search website.
The search committee welcomes letters of nomination or applications to be submitted as soon as possible. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, with campus interviews anticipated to take place June 10-14.
The successful candidate is expected to begin the position in mid-June 2024. Application for the interim vice president position will not preclude individuals from consideration for the permanent position. A national search for permanent leadership will begin later, with further details to follow.
