Timeline extended for budget model review

Due to several other high-priority initiatives currently taking place across the university, the budget model review will reengage in August with the relaunch of stakeholder sessions.
The strategic initiative kicked off in December 2023, followed by meetings in January to gather stakeholder input. Those stakeholder sessions are scheduled to begin again in August and will be followed by model review and recommendations.
The budget model review work includes a holistic review of K-State's budget model so that it aligns with our Next-Gen K-State strategic plan. The review will ensure that the university budget model incentivizes research and interdisciplinary activities, encourages enrollment growth, provides greater financial accountability and preserves mission-critical activities.
