Writing classified position descriptions

Karla Bylund, manager of compensation and classification for the Division of Human Resources, will present "Writing Classified Position Descriptions" from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Room 212 of the K-State Student Union.

This training will cover the essentials of completing the position description form in compliance with the state specifications, as well as best practices for writing effective task statements. We will also cover the rules and laws that apply to minimum requirements, necessary special requirements, bona fide occupational requirements and physical requirements.
