University United Way campaign open for annual renewal or donations

The annual K-State employee United Way campaign launched on Oct. 30 and will run through Nov. 30.
Employees may make their contribution through K-State HRIS or directly to the Konza United Way agency. Current payroll deductions do not carry over from year to year. Employees must renew their designated amount each year for their donations to continue after January 2024.
Thank you for your continuous giving. The generous donations will support the following agencies serving the Flint Hills region:
- Be Able, Inc., social services caseworker support.
- Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan, scholarship assistance for low-income program participants.
- Catholic Charities, diaper assistance program.
- Community Health Ministries, health and wellness coordination.
- Flint Hills Area Transportation, Manhattan citywide fixed route and K-18 Connector expanded transit service/Ogden.
- Flint Hills Community Clinic, sustainability.
- Housing and Credit Counseling, housing and financial counseling for people earning lower incomes.
- Kansas Legal Services, general legal service for low-income individuals.
- Riley County K-State Research and Extension, volunteer income tax assistance program.
- Manhattan Emergency Shelter, Caroline Peine transitional shelter program.
- NEK — CAP, Inc., Marshall, Pottawatomie and Washington county family development advocacy program.
- Pawnee Mental Health Services, transitional housing for adults with mental illness who are homeless or unstably housed.
- Sunflower Children's Collective, core CASA services, Stepping Stones Child Advocacy Center and Sunflower Bridge Child Exchange and Visitation Center.
- The Crisis Center, sexual and domestic violence victims services.
- Salvation Army, emergency crisis assistance.
- Thrive!, promoting self-sufficiency.
