Attend K-State Benefits Fair Oct. 4 and virtual presentation and pop-up Oct. 10

Submitted by HR Benefits

The Human Resources benefits team invites you to the 2023 Benefits Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Grand Ballroom of the K-State Student Union.

The Benefits Fair is an opportunity to meet with many of the benefits providers and learn more about many aspects of your total rewards package.

Lafene Health Center will offer many services during the fair.

In addition, during the in-person fair, several presentations will be offered in the connecting K and S ballrooms. Meet and hear from various vendors. Presentations will include time for Q&A. The schedule of events is as follows:

K Ballroom

10:30 a.m.: State Employee Health Plan will present health benefits available for 2024.
11:30 a.m.: State Employee Health Plan will present retiree health benefits available to potential retirees.
1 p.m.: Renae Riedy and Deb Wood, senior health insurance counselors, will present Medicare basics.

S Ballroom

10 a.m.: "TIAA: Your Mid-Career Retirement Check-In."
11 a.m.: "VOYA: Setting Retirement Goals If You're Over 40."
Noon: "KPERS: From Hire to Retire Seminar."
1 p.m.: "KPERS 457: Benefits of Enrollment in KPERS 457."

The HR benefits team will also offer virtual opportunities on Oct. 10. A virtual presentation followed by time for Q&A will be from 9-10:30 a.m. This will be a brief summary of the available benefits and changes for 2024. A virtual pop-up will be from noon to 2 p.m. This will be an opportunity to meet with a member of the benefits team one-on-one via Zoom in a private breakout room to get assistance with any benefits-related questions.

Registration for the virtual opportunities is required for both of the events.

Don't forget: October is open enrollment for health insurance, life insurance and other supplemental benefits. All employees must make an active health election for 2024 benefits. The benefits team will have an increased on-campus presence throughout the month of October. Watch K-State Today as well as your email for more information. Contact the benefits team at benefits@k-state.edu with any questions.
