'Vaccine Fears Overturned by Facts — Student Perspective' webinar for K-State community

"Vaccine Fears Overturned by Facts — Student Perspectives" is a follow-up to a collaborative project between Immunize Kansas Coalition, K-State Research and Extension, and K-State students that focuses on bringing vaccine confidence to Kansas communities through student storytelling.

The webinar will feature speakers from the Office of Engagement, the Immunize Kansas Coalition and K-State students from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 28. 

In this webinar, you will:

  • Hear from Mirna Bonilla, Office of Engagement, about the effectiveness of collaborative projects and engaged-learning practices at Kansas State University.
  • Get an overview of the Immunize Kansas Coalition and the "Vaccine Fears Overturned by Facts" campaign by Connie Satzler.
  • Learn about partnerships leading to the Immunize Kansas Coalition's Vaccine Confidence Health Communication Project from Sakshi Bhati, project lead of "Vaccinate with Confidence: Why I Vax" and doctoral candidate in the leadership communication doctoral program.
  • Listen to Johnna Tumberger's experience with the campaign and knowledge gained through the health initiative. Tumberger is a senior in mass communications and strategic communication intern. 
  • Learn about the College of Veterinary Medicine and One Health Partnership from Ron Orchard.
  • Participate in a live Q&A discussion.
