K-State researchers invite participants for powerlifting research

K-State researchers from the Functional Intensity Training Lab in the College of Health and Human Sciences are recruiting participants to examine the powerlifting exercise's impact on women's feelings of empowerment.

The study provides participants with the following opportunities:

  • 24 free workouts.
  • Before and after health and fitness tests.
  • Assessment of movement competencies.

Registration is now open. Please see if you qualify.

Eligibility criteria include that you must identify as female; be 13-64 years old; register in a dyad with another female; be free from injury; have no powerlifting experience and indicate availability for the majority of the study sessions.

This study has been reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board and received IRB approval No. 11380.
