2023 Benefits Fairs announced

Submitted by HCS Benefits

With open enrollment right around the corner, your benefits team announces two Benefits Fairs and several opportunities to engage with your benefits vendors.

The in-person 2022 Benefits Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the Grand Ballroom at the K-State Student Union.

The in-person fair will be a great opportunity to meet with many of your benefits providers and learn more about many aspects of your total rewards package. Presentations throughout the day will include many financial and retirement partners including KPERS, TIAA, Great West — KPERS 457 — and Voya. The State Employee Health Plan will facilitate two presentations for active employees and lead a separate session for those interested in retiree benefits. A representative from Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas will also be available and lead a session regarding Medicare options and enrollment.

Lafene Health Center will also be on-site for flu vaccinations, COVID-19 boosters, and, new for this year, skin cancer screenings. Upcoming editions of K-State Today will feature additional scheduling and registration details, including separate instructions regarding Lafene's offerings.

Can't make it to the in-person event or prefer a virtual experience? There will also be a Benefits Fair on Thursday, Oct. 6, featuring many of the same vendors. Each session will include time for Q&A following the presentations.

Don't forget: October is open enrollment for health insurance, life insurance and other supplemental benefits. Are you interested in learning more about the benefits available during open enrollment? The State Employee Health Plan will have several on-demand resources available on its website and the benefits team will have an increased on-campus presence throughout the month of October including visits to Salina and Olathe. Watch K-State Today as well as your email for more information.
