International Buddies, a registered departmental student organization, is accepting applications for the fall 2022 semester.

Want to learn about other cultures around the world? Want to learn or improve your foreign language skills? Make both international and local friends? Attend fun events around Manhattan? If yes, become a member of K-State's International Buddies Club.

We pair international and local students into small buddy groups. Buddies get the opportunity to meet up, learn more about each other's culture and connect in an informal setting. International students get to feel more a part of the Manhattan community while local students get to become more globally aware. You can make friendships that can last a lifetime. Plus, all majors can join! Business, engineering, education, statistics and more — all benefit from this club.

Your group can meet in person, hybrid, or all online; whatever you are most comfortable with. We will match groups according to your preferences.

To be put in a group for the fall semester, please fill out the survey online or scan the QR code. The survey should take no more than five minutes, and the information you provide will help match you with peer buddies who share similar interests.

The applications will close at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8.

The first event will be at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 22: Scavenger Hunt and Ice Cream Social. To stay up to date about International Buddies' events, follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We hope to see you this semester.
