Meditation and Movement course offered on Thursdays

Submitted by Jhoe Stonestreet

Meditation and Movement, RRES 200, is new course offered by the K-State Global Campus/UFM Community Learning Center for credit or noncredit. Classes are 5:30-6:30 p.m. every Thursday at 301 Ahearn Field House.

The course offers a whole-person approach to renewal. Participants build skills needed to mitigate stress and anxiety, improve self-awareness, and revitalize self-perception and body image. The mat-based stretching, strengthening, balance and functional exercises facilitate physiological responses that promote overall well-being. The integrated approach of breathwork, movement, and meditation comprise the model of nourshing the mind, body and spirit.
