Closing ceremony and reception today for Fulbright graduate studies program

Submitted by Leena Chakrabarti

The English Language Program at Kansas State University has been hosting a group of 26 Fulbright graduate students from around the world for a pre-academic program. The three-week program will end with a closing ceremony at 3:15 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 10, in the 1078 College of Business Building. A reception will follow at 4 p.m. in the Business Building Atrium. The university community is invited to join in these celebrations.

While at K-State, the participants have been studying English and learning about the U.S. academic system and U.S. culture before beginning graduate programs in a wide range of fields at universities across the country. In keeping with the purpose of the Fulbright mission to promote mutual understanding and peace between other countries and the United States, group members has had opportunities to experience American culture and interact with the local community while they have been in Manhattan.
