Psychological sciences faculty, students make April presentations

Psychological sciences faculty and students are presenting at the Society for Research in Child Development, April 18-20, in Seattle.

• Taylor W. Wadian, graduate student; Mark A. Barnett, professor; Tammy L. Sonnentag, graduate student; and Marcella B. Nichols, undergraduate student; are presenting "Role of fault attributions and other factors in children's anticipated responses to two peers with undesirable characteristics."
• Nichols, Barnett, Sonnentag and Wadian also are presenting "Factors associated with early adolescents’ anticipated emotional and behavioral responses to ambiguous teases on Facebook."

In addition, psychological sciences faculty and students presented at the 28th annual meeting of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, April 11-13, in Houston.

• YoungAh Park, assistant professor, and colleagues, S. M. Jex and J. Sprung at Bowling Green State University, presented "Work-school conflict's relation to psychological and physical health outcomes."
• Park and Jex presented "Mechanisms of burnout crossover between dual-earner couples and gender differences" at The mechanisms of crossover in dual-earner couples symposium -- part of the annual meeting.
• Park also presented "Weekend experience study in predicting compensatory work effort in Korea."
