Paper selected for top award

A team of K-State faculty, staff and students have received top recognition from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers for their paper.

The paper, "Characterization of Sorghum Biomass as Feedstock for Sugar Production," was selected for the society's Superior Paper Award. The paper was authored by Donghai Wang, professor of biological and agricultural engineering; Karnnalin Theerarattananoon, doctoral student in biological and agricultural engineering; Xiaorong Wu, research assistant professor in biological and agricultural engineering; Scott Staggenborg, professor of agronomy; Jonathan Propheter, spring 2009 master's graduate in agronomy; and Ron Madl, director of the Agricultural Products Utilization Forum.
