Statement on Aggieville shooting incident

Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing

Early Sunday morning the Riley County Police Department reported a shooting incident in an Aggieville bar. The university will not comment on an ongoing investigation, but we are deeply concerned for all persons involved.

Students who may have been impacted by this incident have supportive resources available to them by the university. Counseling and Psychological Services can be reached at 785-532-6927 to provide emotional support.

Students with concerns about finals this week can contact their professors directly and faculty are encouraged to work directly with those students to discuss appropriate changes. Students may contact the Office of Student Life after reaching out to their professors to discuss additional support and concerns. The Office of Student Life can be reached at 785-532-6432 or stulife@k-state.edu

Learn more about the Office of Student Life at k-state.edu/studentlife. Learn about Counseling Services at k-state.edu/counseling.  Both university offices open at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13.
