Eiselein, Moody and Paz to present 'Engaging and Supporting First-Generation Students Through the New Not-Normal'

Submitted by Teaching and Learning Center

As part of the Teaching and Learning Center's Professional Development series, Gregory Eiselein, director of K-State First; Kiley Moody, managing director of Scholar Services; and Rebeca Paz, assistant director of the Office of First-generation Students, will present "Engaging and Supporting First-Generation Students Through the New Not-Normal" from noon to 1 p.m. CST Wednesday, Nov. 10, via Zoom.

During this interactive online workshop, Eiselein, Moody and Paz will talk about why the success of first-generation students matters so much and why universities often struggle to meet their needs. They will discuss what instructors can do to engage and support first-generation students struggling with online and hybrid/hyflex learning or experiencing imposter syndrome, among other challenges.
