The mathematics department is resuming its interdisciplinary Art and Math Seminar. In fall 2021, the presentations will be delivered by Steve Goddard on Oct. 14, Zdeňka Guadarrama on Nov. 4 and Henry Segerman on Nov. 10.

Goddard served as associate director and senior curator at the Spencer Museum of Art. His projects include the exhibitions "Cryptograph: An Exhibition for Alan Turing" and "Big Botany: Conversations with the Plant World."

Guadarrama is a professor of mathematics and chair of the information and mathematical sciences department at Rockhurst University. She is the co-director of Mathapalooza and the co-founder of Math Through Play, outreach programs that incorporate art in mathematical explorations outside the standard curriculum.

Segerman is an associate professor teaching at the Department of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University, the author of the book "Visualizing Mathematics with 3D Printing" and many other publications on visualizations in mathematics.

The complete seminar schedule and more details on the series will be posted online.

Registration is required to participate in this seminar.
