Human Capital Services provides updates to Background Check Policy

Human Capital Services has updated Policy and Procedures Manual, or PPM, Chapter 4015, Background Check Policy, and changes take effect Aug. 2.

These changes provide the following:

1. Enhanced introductory language to clarify how the policy should be applied when there are employment breaks in service.
2. An acknowledgment of the recently instated PPM 3130 Policy for the Protection of Minor Children Participating in University Programs.
3. Application of the background check procedures which now includes temporary or limited-term employees employed six months or less.
4. Enhanced language on background checks for international job candidates.
