Hackemann-Bahlmann exhibiting multiple pieces at Springfield Art Museum

Submitted by Andrew Tash

Rebecca Hackemann-Bahlmann, associate professor of art, is exhibiting 20 works of photography, anamorphic drawing and one sculpture on the grounds of the museum — which was acquired for the museum's collection — at the Springfield Art Museum.

Curated by Sarah Buhr, the biennial Four by Four (4x4) 2020 closes on June 27 and has been open since February. It recognizes four artists working in all media who live in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas. The 4x4 2020: Midwest Invitational Exhibition is being held in 2021 due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020.

Hackemann-Bahlmann's sculpture "The Visionary Sightseeing Binoculars" show stereoscopic images from the past and future of the site at which it stands. To learn more, visit the museum website.
