Seeking help to recruit research participants: Rural residents ages 65 and older

Submitted by Jung Sim Jun

A research team is seeking help on reaching out to rural residents ages 65 and older in Kansas or Missouri areas.

The purpose of this research is to better understand the correlation between social isolation, loneliness, and depression and how social connection factors influence those associations. This study has received IRB approval No. 10649.

After the brief screening survey, participants may choose:

  • An online survey or phone survey — a $10 gift card will be provided by mail — and/or
  • Phone or zoom call interview — a $20 gift card will be provided by mail.

Please see the recruitment flyer below and spread it to eligible community members or your relatives — rural residents age 65 and older — who might be interested in the study.
