Linder contributes to 2021 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report

Submitted by Grant Guggisberg

Katie Linder, associate dean of K-State Global Campus, joined an international panel of practitioners and thought leaders in contributing to the 2021 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report.

The report focuses on identifying the trends, technologies and practices that will be most important for shaping the future of postsecondary teaching and learning. The panel was provided questions to elicit responses related to trends in education in five categories: social, technological, economic, educational and political. Trends were narrowed through discussion and input from the panel members, and a review of current articles, research and other materials to reinforce viewpoints on the future trends.

The report includes the identified trends plus essays on the implications of these trends for higher education around the world. In addition to serving on the panel, Linder contributed essays on microcredentialing and learning analytics.

The 2021 Horizon Report was released April 26 and can be accessed online
