Psychology professors publish chapter, journal article

Two psychology professors were recently published along with a current and former undergraduate student.

Gary Brase, associate professor, was published in an edited collection of issues introducing evolutionary psychology ideas to readers in China. His publication was titled "Three evolutionary hypotheses about how numerical formats fit within the design of the human mind." Brase's publication appeared in "Thus Spake Evolutionary Psychologists," published by Peking University Press in Beijing.

Matthew Palmatier, assistant professor; Melanie Hall, senior in psychology; and Laura (Dare) O'Brien, spring 2010 graduate in psychology, were published in the recent edition of Psychopharmacology. Their publication was titled "The role of conditioning history and reinforcer strength in the reinforcement enhancing effects of nicotine in rats."
