Anti-racist learning communities to start fall 2020

Submitted by Jessica Elmore

Join Kimathi Choma, assistant dean of diversity, recruitment and retention for the College of Arts and Sciences; Jessica Elmore, associate director of diversity programs for the K-State Alumni Association; and Cliff Hight, department head of the Morse Department of Special Collections for the K-State Libraries, as they host learning communities on how to be an anti-racist.

Starting in fall 2020, an organized group of communities will use The New York Times bestseller "How to Be an Antiracist" by Ibram Kendi to guide individuals through their own journey of actions toward inclusivity and anti-racist behavior. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, this experience will be conducted virtually.

K-Staters interested in becoming a part of this experience should complete this survey and more information will be provided.
