Submitted by Mary Rankin

Rural sustainability will be the focus of the 15th Annual Dialog on Sustainability, Saturday, July 18. Topics will include infrastructure for quality of life in rural communities, such as having good grocery stores, schools, health care and other goods and services. There will be an update on wind and solar energy for generating electricity as well as a new initiative concerning rural resilience. A discussion of sustainable local food production also is on the agenda.

This virtual forum will be from 9-11 a.m. Attendance via Zoom over phone or computer is free, but preregistration is required to ensure an adequate number of connecting lines. Interested participants are asked to send name, email address, affiliation and phone number to Sheree Walsh, chsr@k-state.edu.
