Doctoral candidate selected into Junior Scholar Intensive Training Workshop

Submitted by Miranda Reiter

Miranda Reiter, a personal financial planning doctoral candidate, was one of 12 selected to participate in the Junior Scholar Intensive Training, or JSIT, Retirement and Disability Research Summer Workshop at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

This weeklong workshop brings together doctoral students, newly graduated doctoral researchers, and junior faculty who are interested in topics related to disability and retirement research in the United States. The goal of the workshop is to provide emerging scholars with training to develop research ideas and with mentoring to write an initial research proposal. The research proposals that scholars develop through the training may be eligible for small grants or other support.

The training is supported by the Social Security Administration Retirement and Disability Research Consortium.
