Kansas State University and the Office of the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer will host the first session of the Community Action Talks, or CATs, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, via YouTube Live. Moderated by Bryan Samuel, chief diversity and inclusion officer, the session will focus on Black Lives Matter. The discussion will feature a panel Q&A session with K-Staters.

This monthly series will feature presenters, panelists and an opportunity for the community to participate in diversity, inclusion and social justice topics. The sessions will provide participants an opportunity to learn how we can all take action to achieve transformative change for our university, our state and the world.

Work is proceeding on July's second edition of CATs will focus on the COVID-19 pandemic and xenophobia. Stay tuned for more information to come.
