Agricultural economist presents research at international applied bieconomy research conference

Timothy J. Dalton, associate professor of agricultural economics, presented two papers at the 15th annual Conference of the International Consortium on Applied Bioeconomy Research in Frascati, Italy in late June. Dalton presented "Farmer Adaptation to Climate Induced Information Disruption: Experiments in Ambiguity Aversion" as an invited panel member to a session titled "Building Resilience to Climate Change in Smallholder Agricultural Systems: Economic Approaches to Assessing Adaptation to Climate Change in Sub-Saharan Africa" sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. His second paper was titled "Behavioral Determinants of Adaptation to Climate Change: Selection of Drought Tolerant Maize Seed using Framed Field Experiments in Three African Countries. " The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation sponsor Dalton's research.
