Save the date: History department to host 2020 Parrish Colloquium on medieval warfare

Submitted by Melissa Janulis

The history department at Kansas State University will host the 2020 Parrish Colloquium, which often brings noted religious scholars to K-State to talk about their research. This year's theme focuses on medieval history.

Guest lecturer David Bachrach, University of New Hampshire, will present "Fortresses, Frontiers, and the Myth of Knightly Dominance in Medieval Warfare" from 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 20, in the Tadtman Boardroom of the K-State Alumni Center.

Bachrach has published eight books on religious and medieval military history, and has contributed dozens of academic articles on the same subjects.

Please share this information with your colleagues, coworkers, friends and anyone else who might be interested.

Direct any questions regarding the colloquium to David Defries, associate professor of history at Kansas State University, at ddefries@k-state.edu
