Faculty and staff services at Lafene Health Center
Faculty and staff services are now available at Lafene Health Center. Provider visits for faculty and staff primarily focus on the treatment and care of minor health conditions, pharmacy services and laboratory services. Common health conditions that the center can help with include:
- Coughs, colds, sinus and ear discomfort.
- Pink eye.
- Minor cuts, bruises and abrasions.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Sexually transmitted infections.
- Bug bites, stings and domestic animal bites.
- Acute sprains and strains.
- Laboratory and pharmacy services, based on your primary care provider's order.
We are in-network for the State of Kansas Health Insurance and Quest Diagnostics for lab services.
Lafene's pharmacy offers prescription and over-the-counter medications at competitive prices. There are minimal wait times when getting your prescriptions filled from both Lafene and outside providers. Now Lafene Pharmacy offers a drive-thru for even more efficient pick-up of your pharmacy needs. The drive-thru, located on the north side of the building, is open daily until 15 minutes before closing times. Lafene's regular hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Summer and break hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Lafene cannot provide assessment, care or treatment of injuries that have occurred at work or in any way relate to workers' compensation. If you have a work-related injury, please consult with your on-campus supervisor or Human Capital Services for next steps. Additionally, Lafene Health Center is not in-network for Medicaid or Medicare and will not file insurance claims to those entities.
