Vice president for student life and dean of student candidate finalists

The search committee announces three finalists who will interview for the vice president for student life and dean of students and invite you to attend the open forums presented by each candidate.

  • Thomas Lane, associate vice president for students affairs and dean of students at Missouri State University, will interview on Monday, April 29. The open forum will be from 1-2:30 p.m. April 29 in the K-State Alumni Center Banquet Room.
  • Santiago Solis, associate vice president for student affairs at Towson University, will interview on Tuesday, April 30. The open forum will be from 1-2:30 p.m. April 30 in the K-State Alumni Center Banquet Room.
  • Derek Jackson, associate vice president for student life at Kansas State University, will interview on Thursday, May 2. The open forum will be from 1-2:30 p.m. May 2 in the K-State Alumni Center Banquet Room.

K-Staters are encouraged to attend the open forum and Q&A session titled "Strategic Vision for Advancing Student Success at a Land-Grant University."

Immediately following each open forum, there will be a short reception for the campus community to meet with the finalists in the Tointon Great Room. All are invited to participate.

Application materials for each candidate are available on the Office of the President search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. For those unable to attend in person, the open forums will be streamed live and archived on the president’s search website. There also will be an online candidate feedback survey on that website.

Oral or written feedback on the candidates also may be directed to members of the search committee
