Reminder: K-State Benefits Fair Oct. 4
The 2018 Benefits Fair will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 in the K-State Student Union. The fair highlights benefits and resources available to all benefit-eligible employees to support their health and well-being.
October also is open enrollment for health insurance. Katie Banker, a State Employee Health Plan representative, will present information on the 2019 health plans and will be available to answer questions regarding open enrollment. Two identical presentations will take place at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the K-State Student Union's Forum Hall. If you are not able to attend the live session, open enrollment webinars are available for employees. Sign up on the State Employee Health Plan Website.
An informational session regarding short-term disability also will be offered at noon in Forum Hall.
While attending the Benefits Fair, make time to attend one of the wellness. These wellness chats are mini sessions to highlight benefits that support your personal, holistic, well-being. The wellness chat schedule is listed below. All wellness chats are in the K-State Student Union Ballroom.
- 10:30 a.m. Saving for Education with a 529 Plan.
- 11:15 a.m. Your Employee Assistance Program — an open discussion about the core components that make up your employer-sponsored employee assistance program and how they can help you balance your individual needs and goals.
- 1:15 p.m. Social Security and Your Retirement — this is a change from the originally posted session, De-Stress for Success.
