Kiley Moody to serve as inaugural scholar services leader

Submitted by Stephanie Bannister

The Division of Student Life has hired Kiley Moody to serve as the inaugural Student Scholar Services lead.

In this role, Moody will coordinate program delivery to scholar programs including First Scholars, Koch Discovery Scholars, Give Back and KC Scholars. Moody will be part of the leadership team within the Academic Achievement Center and Office of First-Generation Students.

"Kiley brings a wealth of experience and institutional perspective to this new position," said Stephanie Bannister, assistant vice president for student life. "We are excited to have her vision and leadership for the student journey. With Kiley on our team, we will continue to grow our collaborative outreach and student service."

Moody is originally from Stafford and has a bachelor's degree in justice studies from Fort Hays State University and a master's degree in college student personnel administration from the University of Central Missouri. She served as a coordinator in New Student Services at K-State for six years. Most recently, Moody served as the economic development specialist for the K-State Institute for Commercialization where she worked with a university-community partnership to leverage K-State for knowledge-based economic development.

She serves as an adjunct instructor for the Staley School of Leadership Studies and serves as a board member for Girls on the Run and Friends of the Sunset Zoo.

"I am incredibly passionate about education and the opportunities it affords, as a first-generation college student myself," Moody said. "I am excited to work with students to ensure they develop holistically and realize their potential."
