Ladies Bootcamp: July 2-Aug. 24

Submitted by Katie Heinrich

Spend less time in the gym with better results. That's what Ladies Bootcamp is all about. For women only, Ladies Bootcamp is a way to achieve physical fitness through life. It can help with weight loss and gaining strength, muscle and endurance.

Why Ladies Bootcamp?

Are you interested in getting in better shape or improving your fitness but do not want to spend hours in the gym? Are you a little intimidated by fitness programs, but would like one designed specifically for women of all ages? If so, then Ladies Bootcamp is for you! This eight-week program starts July 2 and will meet from 1-2 p.m. four days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – in Room 4 at Ahearn Field House through Aug. 24.

We use safe, effective and functional everyday movements performed at a relative higher intensity. You will be challenged daily, but the format is noncompetitive and focused on results. Best of all, you will enjoy doing it.

Do I need to be in shape before I start?

No prior fitness experience is required. All workouts will be individually scaled to your fitness level by Shely Weinrich, a CrossFit Certified Instructor. All workouts will be conducted in small groups – minimum of three members and maximum of eight members – and are constantly varied in format and exercises involved. Each training day will include a strength focus followed with a short workout.

Class cost and other info

The cost is $120 a month, or $240 total. A class will be offered on Wednesdays for those who miss a class during the week and/or to provide additional services, such as nutritional counseling or grocery shopping trips as well as goal-setting development. Child care will also will be available for a small fee, if needed.
