Global Campus to offer training for facilitating effective discussions in online courses

Submitted by Grant Guggisberg

Kansas State University Global Campus is offering a pair of training events to help faculty learn more about how to have effective discussions in their online courses. At each event, there will be a short presentation followed by a Q&A session with a panel of faculty experts, giving participants the chance to learn from the panelists' experiences and ask their own questions.

The two training sessions will feature the same curriculum but with a different faculty panel at each event. Session and panelist information is below:

  • 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in 301 Calvin Hall
    • Kakali Bhattacharya
    • Cindy Debes
    • Kathleen Hoss-Cruz
    • Suzanne Porath
  • 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 4, in Hale Library's Hemisphere Room
    • Doris Carroll
    • Ann Knackendoffel
    • Linda Yarrow
    • Susan Yelich-Biniecki

No RSVP is required, but please add this event to your calendar. Contact Laura Widenor, quality coordinator for K-State Global Campus, at lwidenor@k-state.edu or 785-532-3542 if you have any questions.
