Plant pathology doctoral student wins travelship

Submitted by Chris Little

Rodrigo Pedrozo, doctoral student in plant pathology, has been accepted as a member of the 2012 “Operation Student Connection” Team at the 129th convention of the American Seed Trade Association, one of the most important seed industry meetings in the world.

This travelship award covers 75 percent of student airfare and hotel costs, and two-thirds of the conference registration fee. Rodrigo will attend the American Seed Trade Association Future Seed Executives reception and the American Seed Research Foundation meeting where he will represent K-State and present his research on soybean seed pathogens in Kansas.

Rodrigo is pursuing a doctoral degree with Chris Little, assistant professor of plant pathology.
