K-State Research and Extension names summer interns

K-State Research and Extension has named five K-State students as 2017 summer interns. The interns will assist extension professionals in planning and implementing educational programming for Kansas residents.

Students selected as interns and their K-State Research and Extension location:

Karley Mishler, Buhler, junior in human ecology, will work in the Twin Creeks District.

Nikole Cain, Eskridge, junior in agricultural education, will work in the Central Kansas District.

Madison Blevins, Greeley, senior in agricultural communications and journalism, will work in the Wildcat District.

Alexandra Tuttle, Plainville, junior in agricultural education, will work in Scott County.

Eric Koehlmoos, Granville, Iowa, sophomore in agricultural education, will work in Riley County.

K-State Research and Extension, based at Kansas State University in Manhattan, conducts research and offers educational programming focused on improving the quality of life for Kansans and others using science-based information. It has offices in all 105 Kansas counties.

K-State Research and Extension is a short name for the Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service, a program designed to generate and distribute useful knowledge for the well-being of Kansans. Supported by county, state, federal and private funds, the program has county Extension offices, experiment fields, area Extension offices and regional research centers statewide.
