Manhattan campus fire and security server update today

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

K-State's Manhattan campus fire and security server will be updated at 9 a.m. March 22. The update will affect most buildings on campus.

The fire and security server on campus — except veterinary medicine and the K-State Student Union — will be updated first. Workers will then update systems in veterinary medicine buildings and the Union. The update is expected to take 3-4 hours.

During the update, all fire alarms on campus will work as normal. The update will affect centralized alarm reporting, and alarm systems will not automatically notify the police department. In case of an emergency, call 911.
