Hazard communication training offered February-April

The K-State Hazard Communication Program provides employees with the necessary information to protect their health and well-being from chemical hazards. The campuswide program has been updated to include the Globally Harmonized System for chemical classification and labeling that was added in 2012.
Hazard communication training, WTD162, is required for all employees who may be exposed to hazardous chemicals when working. Exposure or exposed under the HazCom standard means that an employee is subjected to a hazardous chemical in the course of employment through any route of entry — inhalation, ingestion, skin contact, or absorption — and includes potential — accidental or possible — exposure.
Hazard communication training will be from 2-3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13; 10-11 a.m. Friday, March 10; and 10-11 a.m Tuesday, April 25. All sessions will be in 11 Edwards Hall.
There is no charge to participants, but registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials. Participants may register through HRIS Self_Enrollment or by sending an email to Samantha Roberts at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, department, employee ID number, course title and the course number.
