Discretionary Day reminder

The last day to use the 2016 Discretionary Day is Dec. 31, 2016. For eligible employees whose last workday of a week is Friday, the last day to use the holiday is Friday, Dec. 30.
Determine if you still have an available Discretionary Day by logging into HRIS Employee Self Service. If you see D-Day (Discretionary Day) in the Plan Type column, you still have the day available, even though no hours are displayed. If D-Day is not displayed, you have used the day for 2016.
Approval from your supervisor must be obtained when scheduling your Discretionary Day.
The 2017 Discretionary Day will be available for use after Jan. 1, 2017.
