Submitted by Betsy Edwards

The 2012 Conference on Higher Education Computing in Kansas, or CHECK, will be May 23-24 at the K-State Student Union. Registration officially opened March 28. K-State President Kirk Schulz is slated to give the keynote address on "IT and Higher Education."

This annual, two-day event is for information technology professionals and faculty/staff in higher-education institutions in Kansas, including community colleges, technical schools and other two-year and four-year academic institutions.

The $70 conference fee covers all sessions and related events, including materials, refreshment breaks, a Wednesday evening catered dinner and Thursday continental breakfast and box lunch at the K-State Student Union.

Presenters will touch on topics ranging from mobility to project management. See the 2012 conference website for details, including the conference agenda, lodging accommodations and driving directions.
