Reese invited to present banquet address at the 20th Biennial International Plant Resistance to Insects Workshop
John Reese, professor of entomology and recipient of the International Plant Resistance to Insects Lifetime Achievement Award, was invited by the the International Plant Resistance to Insects Steering Committee to present the banquet address at the 20th Biennial International Plant Resistance to Insects Workshop in Minneapolis.
The workshop will be April 1-4, and the banquet is scheduled for April 2. The talk, titled "Host Plant Resistance: One Old Guy’s Perspective", will emphasize how far the field has come since its start in 1926 when Painter arrived at Kansas State University (then Kansas State Agricultural College), and also describe the enormous potential for the future due to the incredible new molecular genetics tools.
