Graphic design student to present on club's humanitarian efforts in Panama

Submitted by Jeffrey Smith

Mollie Bieber, senior in graphic design, will present on behalf of the K-State Rotaract Club details about its humanitarian efforts in Panama. The presentation will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, in the K-State Union's Cottonwood Room.

With partial support from Rotary International, the K-State Rotaract Club provided water filtration systems, conducted medical checkups, produced engineering surveys and distributed food resources to five communities in Panama.

The ultimate goal is to provide aid for communities seeking to become self-sufficient. The K-State Rotaract Club will share its experience assessing needs of developing communities and the difficulty of cross-cultural humanitarian aid. A Q-and-A will follow the lecture.
