Unclassified vacation leave accrual

Unclassified employees did not accrue vacation leave for pay period ending July 18 on the paycheck dated July 31.
The July 31 paycheck is the third paycheck in the month of July. Since unclassified employees are limited to accruing 176 hours — 22 pay periods out of 26 — each fiscal year, most unclassified employees did not earn vacation leave for the last two pay periods of the fiscal year — i.e., pay periods ending May 23 and June 6.
