Dr. Curt Bonk

Come one, come all to the 2011 Axio Learning Community Innovations in Education Conference to hear Curt Bonk discuss his feats of technology.

Now in its sixth year, the Axio Conference has become a popular destination for faculty wanting to learn and share techniques for technology in the classroom. This two-day conference is Wednesday, Sept. 28, and Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Alumni Center.

Bonk is a professor of instructional systems technology at Indiana University and president of CourseShare. A well-known authority on emerging technologies for learning, Bonk reflects on his speaking experiences around the world in his popular blog, TravelinEdMan. He has co-authored several widely used books, including “The World is Open: How Web Technology is Revolutionizing Education,” “Empowering Online Learning: 100+ Activities for Reading, Reflecting, Displaying and Doing,” “The Handbook of Blended Learning” and “Electronic Collaborators.” He received the Most Outstanding Achievement award from the U.S. Distance Learning Association and the Most Innovative Teaching in a Distance Education Program award from the state of Indiana.

Bonk will speak at 10 a.m. Sept. 28 in banquet rooms A and D at the K-State Alumni Center.

If you would like to speak at the conference or participate in the Peer Showcase, please email your abstract as soon as possible to Dave Young. To view current and past presentations, please visit the conference website.

Register now! Registration is free and is required to attend the sessions and the hot lunch Q-and-A on Sept. 28 with Bonk. Please do not register if you plan on only attending the keynote speech.
