Center for Sustainable Energy offers 2015 Energy Symposium April 8-9

Submitted by Keith Rutlin

The Kansas State University Center for Sustainable Energy presents the 2015 Energy Symposium, "The North American Energy Perspective," April 8-9. Registration is free.

The symposium focuses on the future of North American energy production and sustainable alternatives to current trends. With the development of shale gas and oil, America is scheduled to become energy independent by the year 2020. Experts in fields relating to policy, engineering, economics, sociology and agronomy will discuss their perspectives on the current outlook for North American energy.

Presentations will feature national experts, as well as opportunities for networking and research discussions. Free registration for the symposium is now open for faculty, students, staff and the general public. A poster session will be open to all K-State undergraduate and graduate students who are conducting research related to energy, with prizes awarded for the top posters.

Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss this opportunity. More details are available on the K-State Center for Sustainable Energy website. For further information, please contact Michael Heidlage, symposium chair, at mheidlage@k-state.edu or Keith Rutlin at rutlin@k-state.edu.
