Retirement reception for longtime K-State Student Union custodial specialist Jan. 4
Submitted by Audrey Taggart-Kagdis
John Anneberg began his career with the K-State Student Union on May 20, 1965, under director Robert Blackburn. Four union directors later, his 45-year run has come to an end.
A retirement reception in Anneberg's honor will be from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday in the Cat's Pause lounge on the second floor of the union.
"We are going to sorely miss John. He has never been one to make a big splash, but he is one of our most valuable employees," said Craig Johnson, union director of operations.
When reflecting on his time at Kansas State University, Anneberg said, "Almost all of my experiences at the union have been good. This job has been busy and challenging, but everyone has always been friendly. Dr. Pat Bosco has encouraged people to share the friendly environment on campus and they do."
