HealthQuest screening dates set for 2015

Submitted by Human Capital Services Benefits

HealthQuest is a program provided by the state of Kansas to reduce employee's premium cost for healthcare and obtain a healthier lifestyle. In addition to free biometric screenings, employees have the opportunity to elect from many other ways to earn points and focus on overall health. Some of the programs offered are tobacco cessation assistance, lifestyle coaching and wellness challenges that are fun and interactive.

A biometric screening is necessary for benefit eligible employees to complete the online health assessment questionnaire. This biometric screening is required for the employee to be eligible for discounted premiums on health insurance. Free biometric screenings are offered to help meet this requirement. These free screenings are one of three ways to get your biometric information, with the other two choices; a well checkup with your physician, or an at-home test. The biometric screening results and completion of the online Health Assessment Questionnaire are required and worth 10 of the total 30 credits needed by Nov. 15 to receive the discounted premium for Plan Year 2016. Biometric screening results, the online Health Assessment Questionnaire and any additional credits you earn throughout this period must be entered into the portal at www.KansasHealthQuest.com.

Complete information on this portion of the requirement is available online.

Free biometric screenings are offered from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 13-15 in 138 Peters Recreation Center at K-State. Sign up for screenings at www.KansasHealthQuest.com and navigate to screening appointment in the left hand toolbar.
