Faculty, staff can give it up for good

Submitted by DeeAnn Turpin

Have stuff you want to get rid of but don't want to throw away? Or are you looking for items for your home? Then check out Give it up for Good.

This an on-campus and communitywide event from May 9-14 that prevents your reusable waste from trashing our landfills. All money generated from the sale of these items goes toward charities in Manhattan.

Today through Friday drop-off boxes are available in the lobbies of every K-State residence hall for donations of unwanted but reusable items.

Items also can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday at the Youth Leadership Foundation Indoor Training Facility by Griffith Park, 615 S. 11th St.

The sale will be 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 14, with a half-price sale from noon to 1 p.m.,  at the Youth Leadership Foundation Indoor Training Facility.

Remember, all the money from the sale goes to local charities.

Also, if you have spare time and want to volunteer for this event this week please contact Candice McIntosh at office@unitedwayrc.org.

Thanks a lot and Give it up for Good!
